How do we use energy and what is our road towards net zero. How can we transmit green energies for our use in the most efficient manner. When moving towards full electrification, how can we layout electronic products that generate less heat and are reliably sustainable. He is currently Director of the Computational Mechanics and Reliability Group within the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and he is also the Faculty Director for Research and Enterprise.
As a Research Professor, his specialisms include computational mechanics.
Chris’s research focuses on the development and use of virtual prototyping technologies (including design methodologies, mathematical modelling, finite element analysis, numerical optimisation, physics-of-failure approaches to reliability, and multi-physics modelling. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
